44th Day

Back to ordinary life.
Food on Madeira was anything but drufood. :-D I had barley grass with me, but since I often ate out, I didn't have the flaxtea with me everywhere. It was difficult to avoid sugar (so much fruit which are extremely sweet: banana, mango, melon)and gluten.
Anyways I spent a wonderful week sunbathing, swimming (!) in the Atlantic Ocean, eating scabbard fish, roasted chestnut, walnut cake, lupin seed, gaspacho, potato and butter bread rolls,I tasted the excellent madeiran coffee (even better than in Hungary!!! all right, coffee is not dru, but I always had it with food).
It wasn't a big problem not to drink Madeiran wine - though I think many believes it's total sacrilege. We got free wine with lunch once, and I had a glass of white wine, but I felt horrible after it. I haven't mentioned it but I feel sick and get headache even when I smell alcohol in cleaning liquids or in windshield liquid. So then result of me drinking wine on Madeira was that I started sweating, felt dizzy and funny, and I made a picture with my cellphone upside down and I sent it to my man. :-D
I had a very laid back time, slept when it was dark (btw 8pm and 8am, yes that is 12 hours), walking a lot, breathing salty warm air (very good for the lungs) spiced with sweet flower or eucaliptus scent.
For some reason (can be ancient genetic) I love the sea, it is so soft, warm and calming and healing(either bathing or sailing).

32nd-34th Days

Have had the old diet for 3 days (with gluten) so that a bloodtest could be made today.
Beepollen still tastes funny. :-(
Otherwise no problems.
I'll be be in a week, enjoying the warmth of the southern sun.

31st Day

I was at the GP today. She has remitted me to chest x-ray (have to wait for getting an appointment there too), and asked me to eat normally (incl. gluten) so that a blood test can be made next week to rule out if I have gluten-intolerance and/or lactos-int.
Started taking Lyrica 50 - 50 - 100mg (morning, midday, before sleep) bc 50 for hte whole day didn't seem to last without painin the afternoons, evenings.
The scales are showing less and less. Am I opening up and getting rid of the many kilograms of pure fear and cover-up? :-O
Looking forward to eat lots of vegetables and fruit next week! :-D

30th Day

I was in town almost whole afternoon. I had a cafe machiato and a cookie at one of the cafeterias (Kaffekompaniet, Strömstad). Soon after it I had cramps in my lower abdomen and I had to go to the toilet. Could be three things: coffee, milk or/and gluten. This pain I recognized, I've had it before too. Now I at least know it comes from one of these three things.

24-29th Days

Day 24
Stayed at home, took it easy. It was good that I didn't have to drive yesterday to the swimming course. I was swimming quite OK, and it felt good the day after. I left a message at work that I couldn't work for some days at least.
Day 25
My yoga teacher is sick. Well, I couldn't practice meditation or yoga recently. But he suggested to do some special sequences which I tried anyways. No coffee at home - getting used to it. Sometimes I feel my diet is boring, but I guess my body was used to caffein, sugear, carbohydrates and such. It's like meditation, our mind is used to being entertained, and it even makes up thing to entertain itself. When meditating, there's no "interesting", "exciting" experience anymore, and the mind starts protesting. So does the body when no great sensations.
Day 26
Have had 3 Castor oil pack, first made little difference, but then I started feeling it more and more the days after. Still drinking flaxtea regularly and taking supplementary meds. The stool started to be lighter, softer and 2-3 times a day.
Talked to a good Tibetan friend who was asking about how things were going with me and I checked with him about the Guru Mantra. He actually told me that he could see a trip to India. :-)
I was doing a little seach for Drukpas. I just realized 'druk' means 'dragon'. WHAT ELSE! Time to learn more Tibetan?
Day 27
Slept in the afternoon. I sleep a lot. Am I maybe tired? Less pain, but more sleepy.
Beepollen feels a bit weird, smells a tiny bit disgusting, I have to take it with some fruityoghurt.
Day 28
Felt good in the morning but then coming back from a long walk with our 2 dogs, I started feeling strange: exhausted, headache, freezing. I had diarrea, maybe some fever too. Felt like stomach flu actually. My boyfriend felt something similar yesterday. Can be a virus.
Got reply from Chris. Suggested chanting, some music and deep relaxation.
Day 29
Felt better. had a half of pizza in the evening. One doesn't have to be so strict with diet. ;-) I had water with it. Don't remember having coke or similar for a long time. :-) Still not working. Got the papers from the insurance company. I have an appointment with the GP on Thursday.
Was doing the Moon sequence, was great! fell asleep in relaxation :-D

18th-23rd Days

The last few days I've experienced some bad effects of the higher dosage of Lyrica (pregabalin). Recently I have had 100mg twice a day which resulted that I started feeling sleepy, foggy, difficult to concentrate, blurry vision, difficulties driving car (long reaction time), forgetfulness, confusion. I don't think any of these can come from the diet I'm having. :-) Besides I have close contact with my dietist. I've called the hospital to get help with adjusting the dose, I have to find the balance btw pain and feeling total zombie. (The last some days I had a cup of coffee every day just to be able to have my eyes open.)

My work situation is not very good either, I only get job now and then, but when I have to jump in, I usually get long shifts (8-9 hours) with mentally challenged people (from serious braindamaged to mano-depressive and autism or Asperger's). I wouldn't say it's the least challenging job, though one of the places I work at is rather quiet normally...

I've found beepollen in Hungary (source: my mom :-) ) and in Sweden (please order from here in Sweden: Kinabutin.se) too. It's defitelly cheaper to buy it in Hungary, although buying it in small amount and shipping it to Sweden is not very economical, we can come up to the sum one has to pay for it here in Sweden (around 15 Euro).
